On the auto-salon in Frankfurt company BMW presented the first her own hybrid automobile Active Hybrid, which sufficiently strongly is differed from all previous developments in this region.
After generalizing the experience of competitors, Bavarians gave out our own vision of hybrid power plant, which can be used practically on any automobile BMW without the essential alteration of the construction of machine. This development is named
BMW EfficientDynamics.
The fact is that electric motor- generator necessary for any hybrid engineers BMW placed in the crankcase of the hydraulic converter of usual automatic transmission, and instead of the heavy storage batteries are used the super-power capacitors, which occupy less than the place. The electric motor, established between the benzine motor and "automaton", is supplied with two clutches, controlled by electronics, and; therefore it can fulfill both the tractive functions and restore stagnation energy into the electricity.
But at the same time it can earn additionally by starter and help the benzine motor, when that works in the zone of low revolutions and does not develop the large torque. Electromotor also fulfills the function of cohesion. When machine moves its first meters it accelerates the electromotor, which is capable to issue its maximum moment from the quite it is lower, and at the assigned moment the part of this moment will be given for the benzine motor and that it is started and it continues acceleration by already its own forces.
