Tuning ‘made in Germany’ for the new Jeep Patriot: STARTECH (www.startech.de) now offers a wide array of exclusive accessories plus powerful performance tuning for the turbodiesel model of the SUV.

Dynamic looks through discreet retouching: The STARTECH designers upgrade the body of the Patriot with innovative details. The front of the Jeep receives some added rugged character with a molding modeled after an underride guard, and a design element that resembles a traditional tow hook.

The underride-guard-design of the STARTECH body conversion is rounded out by a similar molding for the rear apron. A roof spoiler further adds more profile to the rear.

Also available are such exclusive accessories as chrome-plated covers for exterior mirrors and windshield washer nozzles.

The customized appearance is complemented by a ride-height lowering of some 30 millimeters with the help of STARTECH sport springs calibrated to the production shocks. The finishing touches are applied by light-alloy wheels with diameters of 19 or 20 inches. The largest version features polished STARTECH Monostar IV 9Jx20 wheels with size 245/40 R 20 tires front and back.

The improved driving dynamics of the new Jeep provide ideal conditions for installing additional power. STARTECH offers its SD3 performance kit for the two-liter turbodiesel model. The auxiliary control module can be installed in less than an hour by any authorized dealer. It modifies the engine electronics in order to increase power output.

Maximum power output jumps by 40 PS (39 hp) / 29.4 kW from standard 140 PS (138 hp) / 103 kW to 180 PS (178 hp) / 132 kW. Simultaneously peak torque grows to 360 Nm (266 lb-ft) between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm.

Performance of the American SUV improves accordingly: The sprint time from 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) is shortened to 10.6 seconds; top speed increases to 204 km/h (127 mph).

Individual touches are also abundant in the interior of the Patriot: Exclusive accessories such as stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated STARTECH logo are part of these touches as are aluminum pedals, footrest and emergency brake lever. Stylish loudspeaker bezels and high-quality STARTECH velour floor mats create an exclusive ambiance.

Another innovative idea is the STARTECH Lifestyle interior upgrade with high-quality trim elements for doors and dashboard.

The company-own upholstery shop fulfills extravagant requests including a fully leather interior crafted from the finest, especially soft and breathable Mastik and Alcantara leathers.
